Shane has more than 25 years of leadership experience across the construction, infrastructure, defence, maritime and environmental sectors. He brings extensive expertise in executive management, organisational strategy, stakeholder engagement, business development and corporate governance, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects for government and private industry.

Shane has managed nationally significant programs involving government agencies, industry partners, Native Title Holders and diverse stakeholder groups, with a strong focus on environmental management, ESG and fostering meaningful partnerships with clients, government and Indigenous communities.

He is passionate about developing capable teams, creating employment opportunities for Native Title Holders and ensuring the business continues to deliver innovative, environmentally responsible and commercially successful outcomes.

Bachelor of Environmental Science

Since joining Gambara in 2021, Anton has demonstrated a comprehensive expertise in field operations, management, and strategic planning. With eight years of experience and knowledge in the land care industry, he effectively oversees general maintenance and rehabilitation services company wide, including herbicide application regimes, landscape maintenance requirements, high level project management during planting season, and ensuring that Gambara’s services are always performed at the highest quality for client satisfaction and the best rehabilitation results.

Bachelor of Science – Conservation Biology & Zoology

Jye has been a valuable member of the Gambara team since 2021. With a strong background in project design, implementation, and reporting, he brings five years of consultancy experience in natural material management and weed surveys.

Jye is skilled in developing revegetation plans, offset reports, and soil management strategies. He’s experienced in fieldwork, site monitoring, and managing environmentally sensitive areas, including Threatened Ecological Communities and dieback-infested zones.

Jye has successfully collaborated with major clients like Main Roads WA, excelling in client consultation and implementing feedback to ensure project success over time.

Bachelor of Science (Environmental Management)

With six years of experience in weed control, Joe is an expert in managing revegetation through infill planting and both mechanical and chemical weed control methods. He excels in the precise application of herbicides, effectively managing invasive species while minimizing impacts on native flora.

Joe is knowledgeable about the best chemicals to use, application rates, and safety practices to ensure environmental compliance. His in-depth understanding of Western Australian flora and proficiency in land management and rehabilitation are complemented by a strong commitment to health and safety, ensuring that all employees adhere to safe work procedures and maintain a positive safety culture.

Our Field Technicians are experts in landscape maintenance and project delivery, with extensive experience in chemical weed control, revegetation, and land care. They have a strong grasp of landscape practices and bushland restoration. Skilled in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, they excel at site maintenance, managing on-site safety, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Known for their problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, they use advanced tools and technologies to deliver high-quality results and enhance overall performance.

Mick Doherty is the CEO of Tjiwarl Contracting Services, the commercial subsidiary of Tjiwarl Aboriginal Corporation. He brings extensive experience in executive leadership, governance, commercial strategy and business growth across education, sport, infrastructure and Aboriginal business.

As Chair of the Gambara Board, Mick provides strategic oversight to support the company’s continued growth while preserving the strong operational foundations, client relationships and reputation that have made Gambara a trusted leader in environmental services throughout Western Australia.

Matthew has over 18 years of experience in environmental management. Specialising in the design, delivery, maintenance and project management of major landscaping and revegetation works throughout Western Australia.

Over the past 18 years he has been fortunate to deliver some of the State’s largest revegetation programs including Forrest Highway, Gateway WA Project and Great Northern Connect. These projects equate to over 637 hectares of revegetation works.

Matthew is also the Director of Oswald Environmental Solutions which provides environmental consultancy services and Nativ Carbon which provides carbon offsets for the Oil and Gas Industry.
